Philosophy

There are many things in this world that we can agree on as inherently beautiful. What normal human being can be in the Rockies and not be awestruck? Anyone who has been to Niagara Falls will never forget it. The ocean, the Great Lakes are mesmerizing, entrancing. I use these examples because I have been all those places. I know from T.V. and the internet that there are breathtaking, indescribable places all over these beautiful world we live on.

How about other natural phenomena? The northern lights, a rainbow, tropical birds, flowers, the grace and movement of a herd of Zebra running. How about human endeavors? The gracefulness of ballet, the brilliance of world renown master painters, the awesome fluid movements and color of Cirque de Soleil performers.
How about the sheer and natural beauty of a woman? How about the beauty of the nude human? Okay, I am a heterosexual man, but from a purely aesthetic standpoint, there is beauty in the human nude form, male or female, when the person is young and fit, well proportioned. There is something to be appreciated by nice skin, firm features, toned muscles in men and women alike. A women with soft features and big eyes and flowing hair and soft, round breasts is hard to take your eyes off. A man with wavy hair, a firm jaw, good posture and a six pack is an attractive site. I am secure enough in my heterosexuality to say that. I can look at someone like Matt Damon and say “damn, he’s good looking.” I wish I had his looks.

What about porn? Does it have to be nasty? Does it have to be shunned? I have seen a lot of porn. Some of the photography I have seen of naked women is incredible. There is a real art to it. The art of the photographer to capture a mood, lighting, the use of settings and props and positioning. The art of the model to project a mood, to exhibit poise, to display her god-given beauty. I have subscribed to many porn sites through the years, and am often amazed to find a rare gem of photography nestled in a porn site. There is some real art in porn. Sure, a lot of it is crap, quick trashy dirty films and photos made for perverts to jack off by. But some of it, particularly the photography, is genuine tasteful art.

As long as you have an open mind, you can see art and beauty in a lot of places. Playboy is that kind of site, that treats women with respect. A place to admire female beauty.
