After moving to Orange County, CA from southern Indiana, she was spotted by producer Warren Zide and made her film debut in American Summer, portraying a DJ. She was given the nickname "AJ" by her grandparents when she was seven years old. She made her first Playboy appearance in the 2007 "Hot Housewives" Special Issue
